The ladder signifies a bridge between Heaven and earth, likened sometimes to
prayers and sacrifices offered in a holy temple.
Traditional shamanic line drawings trace a path through ‘swaying places’
or trials marked by water, sand & clouds.
Resolution of the problem of opposites:
the eqi-cross signifies the descent of spirit into matter, or earth
and simultaneously,
the active presence in body that strives ever toward perfection.
