What happens in a Session?

Sometimes the mind doesn’t know — but the body does. This session is tuned to what your body is holding or ready to release. Whether through gentle touch, movement or stillness, settling somatically (through the felt sense of our body) helps us drop beneath surface noise. For some, this means gentle, clothed bodywork (40/60 minutes/local) to calm the nervous system — for others, guided stillness or rhythmic movement.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing to these sessions.

Bodywork
is a conversation — one spoken in breath, living tissue and the subtle tides beneath the skin.
I calm the nervous and respiratory systems with long, listening holds, gentle rhythmic movements and focused intuitive touch. I follow the terrain of the fascia — specifically around your head and neck, spine, internal organs, diaphragm, hands and feet — gently inviting your body to release its grip and remember ease.

Before or after the table, you may choose to spend some time in dialog, journaling, guided movement or meditation — a simple threshold to help you arrive, set an intention or carry what you’ve found back into your life.

I studied Structural Integration in Boulder, Colorado and was certified as a Somatic Educator and Structural Integration (Rolfing) Practitioner in 2006. After more than a decade of practice, I’ve developed an approach wholly my own — influenced by Eastern perspectives to movement, body and touch.

Natural Movement
is a return to enjoyment: of your body’s rhythms, of circles and serpentine grace and the simple pleasure of effortless dance. Drawing from qigong, belly dance, contemporary and tribal forms, I guide sessions that are slow, inward-facing and deeply sensory. Sessions can happen inside, outside (with fresh air and direct contact with nature) or over Zoom. I bring two decades of dance, movement and internal martial arts experience to share with you.

Meditation
My meditation experience grows from years of practice in a Tibetan Buddhist lineage, where I earned a formal certification as an instructor, then supported month-long retreats and worked one-on-one. Over time, I’ve braided this experience with insights from bodywork and movement studies, focussing on embodiment, posture and release. Most recently, I’ve integrated teachings from Centering Prayer — blending contemplative stillness with practical instruction.

Local bodywork sessions are available for female-identified and non-binary clients comfortable in female-centered space.
