Eclipse. Painting begun on June 21, 2021 during the solar eclipse. Are we being eclipsed now? the round and round of things the circularity of return. the orbits within orbits within orbits. the circle. the circular. The orange of fire and deep blue  of the void. we are together in vast space, vast emptiness. we are self-contained universes that suspend one another.

In the Renaissance there was an idea that you could peek your head out of one cosmos and peer into the other, and in so doing, see the origin of the divine. How many dimensions are there? And what is a dimension in the first place; a level of appearance? What invisible pathways do we trundle upon day by day, held in place by invisible forces?
