I
i don't know how i came here
or how many days
the sky outside my window,
payne's grey
the ocean in november
has nothing to say
through the glass
of my cage

II
my dress is like a napkin
tied about the waist
the pin-prick of needles
and echoing haste
   heel strikes on linoleum
             no familiar face
can't see anymore
through the glass
              of my cage

(Ch)
seagulls
they fly over
calling out my name
i answer through this window
my language is the same
and i fly away into the grey
over the waves

III
tsunami spirits pull me
and tear about my hair
toss me back and forth again with
green and silver tails
my enemy is sweetest bliss
to flee and then to chase
as soon as i have found a haven
all of it erased
ooooooh
i fly away into the grey

 (...)
they take me to their tower
and i am held at trial
the creatures with their glassy eyes
like lagoon crocodiles
i'd like to surrender
to the tsunami mermaids
but then there is a flash of light
and i fly away into the grey
over the waves

(Ch)
seagulls
calling out my name
i answer
my language is the same
and i fly away into the grey
